NEW YORK TOURIST
Central Station
Our first major stop. Central Station. I've only seen images of it before from my old professor at the Algonquin College Photography program. I never really thought I would find myself standing in the same place they stood, seeing the same sights he did. To my surprise, the decor was more like a cathedral, but with zodiac constellations on the ceiling.
9/11 Memorial
Growing up, 9/11 was a major event in my life. Unlike the event, however, the memorial was divine; it seemed a fitting tribute to so many families who never got the proper closure they deserved.
Times Square
Times Square was always one of the places I wanted to visit - and it absolutely lived up to my expectations. The hypnotizing location, drowned in advertisements and media, serves as an inspiration to me. Why? Because of another picture from WW2. This image is the "End of War Kiss", celebrating the end of a grueling, long war. It symbolizes the victory love over hate, and peace over war.
StatenIsland Ferry
This was a ferry I took to get a gorgeous view of Lady Liberty. If I had more time, I would have loved to get an even closer view. It had been a long time since I've been on a ferry. In fact, this was the largest boat I've ever been on. It was a lovely exsperience in it's self.
